Program Assessment Tests

General Assessment

The Assessment Center administers a variety of academic and career/technical assessments for the purpose of placing students in academic and career/technical programs. A current photo ID is required for general assessments. This includes student IDs, recreation center IDs, bus passes, or other photo IDs

Program entrance tests, including Medical and Dental Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing, CNA, and Real Estate, are all now done on a walk-in basis during the times listed to the right.

GED TESTING

Students must attend an orientation before taking the GED test. This is a group activity. GED testing requires a government issued ID or passport with proof of residency. Cost is $85 for the full battery of tests or $17 for each sub test. GED tests can be paid for with cash, MasterCard, or Visa.

GED Orientation is mandatory and students must be on time for one of the following test orientation sessions:

Monday, Wednesday or Friday: 8am Room 201

Monday or Wednesday: 4pm Room 201

GED Tests are all given in room 201 (only after completion of GED Orientation) GED Testing times are:

Monday and Wednesday: 9am, 1pm, or 5pm Room 201

Tuesday and Thursday: 8am, 1pm, or 4pm Room 201

Friday: 9am only Room 201

The GED Practice Test can be taken during the hours listed to the right in Room 205. Cost for practice test is $10 if taken at the school and $20 if the test is taken home.

Ability to Benefit Policy and Procedure

In compliance with federal regulations, Emily Griffith Opportunity School requires testing of all students who indicate a career/technical objective or who do not possess a high school diploma or GED.
