Opportunity is Building!

Emily Griffith Opportunity School, the post-secondary arm of Denver Public Schools (DPS), has been the premiere provider of adult career and technical education in Denver for 91 years. In order to continue to serve the community, Opportunity School must plan for the future.

It is essential that Opportunity School plan to upgrade its facility. It is the most urgent need and will allow it to continue serving the Denver community for the next century.

Recently, DPS agreed to fund a feasibility study that will examine the needs for a facility, then design and plan the facility. Therefore, we have taken our name out of consideration for this bond in November.

With careful discussions with DPS, the citizens’ committee and other community developers, Opportunity School has taken a great step towards making our new facility a reality. With the support of DPS, Opportunity School will move forward with the careful planning in cooperation with the district.

Opportunity School continues to explore all options and make every effort to continue the legacy Emily Griffith began in 1916. We appreciate your support.
