Advanced students in some programs are eligible to participate in an industry-based experience in their chosen field. For further information, business students should call 720- 423-4804. Students interested in all other internships, with the exception of the health fields, should call 720-423-4745. Health students complete a clinical as part of their program.

Emily Griffith has a Career Development Center in Room 200 that assists program students in finding employment. The Career Development Center provides resume writing and job skills classes, hosts job fairs, maintains a job board and e-mails job information to students.

The Career Development Center webpage lists job fairs and other career-related events. The web page also contains over 400 job links that provide up-to-the-minute information on job openings in local businesses. The Emily Griffith Opportunity School Library (located on the 3rd floor) also publicizes a list of Career Resources including helpful techniques on career selection, job searching, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and job posting sites.

The Career Development Center is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Students are advised to call 720-423-4745 for an appointment. Businesses are encouraged to e-mail job postings to CDC@dpsk12.org.
